For the theatrical traditions of many cultures mask plays a key role in the development of genres and styles, it defines the stages of aesthetic and artistic models. Correspondingly the genesis of the Ukrainian national mask derived from acient shaped symbols, which determined the formation of the gene pool of cultural and national traditions. At different historical stages integration of the masks in Ukrainian culture took place in a period of rapid development of traditional forms of entertainment, further transformation which led to the separation of the cultural code mask, that matched the character of its time and society.
