The data on the world fauna of the nematode superfamilies Strongiloidea, Metastrongiloidea, Trichostrongyloidea, Ancylostomatoidea (about 1200 species) were summarized, the database was created, the identification keys to the strongyloidean nematodes parasitizing horses worldwide were published. During the examination of the helminth collection of the Institute of Zoology, 50 cestode species of the family Aploparaksidae and 15 species of the family Fimbriariidae, as well as 21 species of acanthocephalans parasitizing fish were found. Data on participation of terrestrial mollusks in the life cycles of parasites of vertebrates were summarized; 30 species of larvae were found. Bimodal and multimodal types of community structure of strongylid nematodes from horsed and donkeys were ascertained; the types depended on keeping conditions, some regional variations were observed as well. Species diversity of Przhewalskii horse parasites was demonstrated to be dependent on horses' living conditions. Sufficient changes in parasite fauna of alien fish species was found to occur during last 50 years. Particularly, some "imported" parasites have been lost, some other have shifted to native fish species; alien hosts has been infected by local parasites as well. High immunity of some "occasionally" introduced fish species to parasite infection was observed. Some microsporidian species from the Pontic-Caspian amphipods introduced to Vistula River basin were found to be able to transfer to native Boreo-Atlantic amphipods; the introduced amphipod species were susceptible to infection by "local" microsporidians as well.
