Study aim - to study incidence rate and trends of breast cancer among evacuees as indicator of women's health damage associated with radiation. Aim of the 2010 year phase - to develop informatione base for epidemiology study of breast cancer among evacuated women. Study methods - program-aim planning, systemic analysis, statistical, program-mathematical. For realization of the study the cohort of evacuated women of Ukraine was formed from DB of SRU (44 887 persons). On the basis of this cohort a sub-cohort of Kyiv city and Kyiv region was created (28 071 persons). Structural characteristic of the sub-cohort is presented. According to technical requirements the automated comparison of SRU and NCRU informative arrays is conducted to define cases of breast cancer in the sub-cohort of evacuees. As a result of linkage 136 pairs of records are obtained with the different degree of the coincidence probability. After the preliminary examination and the exception of double records we have 128 pairs. 106 records are identified as true cases of breast cancer in the study sub-cohort. The structure is worked out for creation of local DB of breast cancer cases. The project of methodical recommendations of the algorithm of the alternative computation of the study cohort size in dynamics of observation by giving an example of the data of SRU is worked out.
