The collection contains a total of 3220 varieties and forms of grapevine, including 36 newly added accessions. A total of 120 varieties and forms of grapevine of different origin were studied for a number of economical traits. Ten promising varieties were revealed which enter as sources of high productivity, frost resistance and high regeneration capacity. A total of 3220 varieties and forms of grapevine grown in the basic collection were passportized. A trait database for 367 frost resistance of varieties and forms of grapevine was established. Grapevine collections of special destinations were established: a collection for teaching purposes containing 250 varieties and forms of grapevine and a trait collection of 250 varieties and forms with resistance to extreme winter temperatures. A total of 742 varieties and forms of grapevine were granted to research organ-isms of Ukraine and other countries for exchanging planting material. Two catalogues of grape varieties released in Ukraine and maintained in the col-lection of the National Institute for Vine and Wine "Magarach" were published based on the results of identification, systematization and investigation of grape genetic resources.
