For the detailed characterisation of initial clinoptilolite sample in the Mn-form the adsorption calorimetric study of interaction of water with the active centres at the surface of this material is performed. For the quantitative estimation of the number and energetic characteristics of the Mn-clinoptilolite hydration centres the generalised Langmuir equation which describe the adsorption on the surface which contains several types of adsorption centres is proposed and applied. The efficient method for the application of the manganese dioxide film onto the natural clinoptilolite filtering load grains is proposed. In the laboratory conditions the optimal parameters of the clinoptilolite modification are adjusted. Novelty - the method does not require thermal processing, and relies on the ion exchange and sorption properties of clinoptilolite. Efficiency of implementation - method is capable for efficient extraction of manganese and iron ions from the artesian well water. Field of use - water conditioning and environment protection.
