Research methods - chemical, physical and physical-chemical (X-ray-phase and diferentsial-thermal analyses, electroresistance definition of vitreous enamel powders, chemical resistance of frits and coatings, vitreous enamels fusibility intervals, thermal resistance and adherence strength of coatings). In work the analytical review of the scientific, technical and patent literature in which problems are shown by manufacture and using of water heaters steel tanks, existing technologies of application of protective coatings, the basic advantages of technology powder electrostatic enameling PUESTA both known structures and properties of vitreous enamels and steels for given kind of production manufacturing is resulted. The choice of a direction and a research methods is proved. The initial сglass forming system in which optimum areas for synthesis chemically and heat-resistant vitreous enamels with high electric resistance are established is chosen. A series of structures vitreous enamels which are simultaneously characterised by high values of specific electric resistance and chemical resistance, and a coating from them - thermo-, water- and chemical resistance and sufficient adherence strength with a steel is developed. Tests of experimental compositins of enamel powders from synthesised frits under production conditions in "DZG and EHА" Ltd. are conducted, positive results to what the certificate of trial tests testifies are received.
