Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 We analysed the dynamics of general and Fe3+-iron incorporation into sensitive and resistant to antitumor drugs MCF-7 human beast cancer cells after their cultivation fith ferromagnetic during different time intervals. General and Fe3+-iron, measured by electron paramagnetic resonance and atom adsorbtion spectrometry, is present in cells after 1 hour of incubation with maximum accumulation after 24 hours and existis till 48 hours. In sensitive and resistant to cisplatin cells amount of incorporated iron significantly decreased after 72 hours of incubation, while сells with resistance to doxorubicin showed a trend to a further ferromagnetic accumulation. We developed a method of ferromagnetic visualuization in tumor cells using light microscopy. The benefits of this method are short period of time before getting final results and low cost because it is based on routine histochemical stains. This method could be widely used in medical and biological studies in nanotechnology in vitro and in vivo and also in clinical researches about detection of presence, features of localization and distribution of ferromagnetic in tumor cells. These data goes with the results of light microiscopy study of features of ferromgnetic incorporation and distribution in studied cells.
