The project objective is analysis of automatic balancing process of ABU machine rotors with liquid and loose bodies and developing on its base theoretical foundation for operation of liquid auto-balancing units to be applied to machine rotors with vertical rotation axis. Research results: New approach to research automatic liquid balancing rotors with vertical rotation axis, that distinguishes from existing ones by taking into account hydro-mechanical properties of liquid and damping systems; It's been improved method for solving this problem by system approach to research work of liquid ABU and its results, which have been included to recommendations for usage of ABU with liquid working bodies; For the first time it's been obtained analytical relationship between auto-balancing effectiveness and rotor-ABU-liquid system parameters, that enables to work out scientific and methodical instrument to design ABU with liquid working bodies. Practical using of obtained results allows calculating parameters of liquid ABU for machines with variable rotor imbalance. Project results can be implemented in light-, food- and machine tool industry for balancing domestic washing machine basket with vertical rotation axis; separators and rotor machines, which are used in medicine where traditional methods for reducing vibrations have low efficiency. Preventing vibrations or reducing their intensity is one of reserves to improve reliability, durability and productivity of machines, besides balanced machines have less power consumption. Balanced machines improve occupational conditions and ecology.
