The work objective - improvement of manufacturing process of hinge joint of coxofemoral prostheses of the person from perspective materials and making of pre-production models. As a result of project performance basic possibility of realization is shown for its basic technological innovation which consists in improvement of manufacturing process by precision diamond machining of femoral heads, acetabular cups for hinged joints from hard-to-cut biocompatible materials of type "sapphire/ceramics", which are perspective for application in hip-joint endoprosthesises of long-term use (30-40 years). For this purpose it is necessary to use technological possibilities of the experimental processing stand designed for shaping and finishing machining both external, and internal spherical functional surfaces of hinged pairs of endoprosthesises of a hip joint. On the described technology in the ISM they have made some pre-production models of hinged joints of 36 mm of type "sapphire/ceramics" for use in coxofemoral prostheses both import, and a domestic production.
