Objective of research: studying of influence of crystallographic texture, anisotropy of elastic properties and residual stress on service characteristics of Al-Ti alloy. Investigative techniques and the equipment: X-ray analysis, dynamic and static investigative techniques of modules of elasticity, specl-interferometry and x-ray investigative techniques of residual stress, metallography; X-ray device DRON-3М; the equipment of own development for determination of adiabatic Young modulus; the equipment developed in Institute of problems of strength of national academy of science of Ukraine, to find the mechanical properties. Theoretical and practical results: the technology of production of semifinished items of alloy Ti-Al is improved due to use of zone remelting; the phase analysis is executed, the texture is studied and the level of stress in alloy Ti-Al is estimated. Novelty: the quantitative X-ray method of the phase analysis of semifinished items of alloy Ti-Al is developed; the data related to effect of the further thermal processing on service properties of Ti-Al alloy after zone remelting are found. Efficiency of introduction: results of research are used in special courses " Physics of solid state" and " Texture and methods to study it " for students of the senior rates and master degree students of Institute of Physics and Mathematics of SUNPU. On subject matter of the project there is begun work on two degree, one master degree and one candidate science researches.
