Multidimensional study of national sovereignty was carried out. This historical phenomenon was regarded in civilizational, globalizational and foreign policy contexts. New definition of national sovereignty was elaborated and distinctions among national sovereignty, nation state sovereignty and people sovereignty was drawn. Main components of national economic sovereignty were defined. Increasing role of national state in a modern complex international environment was proved.
