Research object - inoculated and primary cell culture of animal origin, on which studied the toxic, mutagenic, and tumorohennu protective effect of different cryoprotectants, as well as viruses of different taxonomic position and structure, collection strains and strains used in biotechnology. Objectives - Develop a system of conservation of biological objects (lines inoculated cell cultures and viruses), using modern methods of molecular and Cryobiology. Research Methods - kriobiolohichni, biotech, morphological, cytological, cytogenetic, virological, immunological, molecular genetics, electron - microscopic.Results of investigations to study toxic, tumorigenic and protective characteristics of such cryoprotectors as dimethyl sulfoxide, oxyethylized glycerin with polymerization level five (n=5), 1,2-propanediol on the model of continuous cell cultures and primary cell cultures are stated. Results of investigations concerning comparative study of the influence of cryopreservation regimes influence on the ultrastructure, hemagglutination and infection activity, immunogenicity and molecular-genetic characteristics of virus strains of different taxonomic position and structure from the NSC "IECVM" collection, which are used in biotechnology, are presented. Mechanisms of damage of certain virus groups of different taxonomic position and structure at cryopreservation have been determined. On this base methodological recommendations have been developed.
