Results of investigations concerning comparative study of the influence of cryopreservation regimes influence on the ultrastructure, hemagglutination and infection activity, immunogenicity and molecular-genetic characteristics of virus strains of different taxonomic position and structure from the NSC "IECVM" collection, which are used in biotechnology, are presented. Mechanisms of damage of certain virus groups of different taxonomic position and structure at cryopreservation have been determined. On this base methodological recommendations have been developed.
