Processes of formation, movement and interaction with environment of the sprayed water streams in a zone of a fire and results of calculations on this model are considered. A research objective is definition of methods and means of optimisation of modes of application of the sprayed water streams for suppression of fires and thermal shielding. Research methods is mathematical and computer modeling. Results of reseach are presented in the form of the graphic dependences received by means of mathematical model. On the basis of these dependences conclusions concerninig methods and means of optimisation of modes of application of the sprayed water stream are drawn. The received results are new as they have no analogues amohg the published scientific works in the given direction of researches.
