Object of study - the number of sheep in farms of all property forms in Carpathian mountain region. The purpose of the work -to study productivity characteristics and biological features of crossed hybrids of the first generation from ewes of Ukrainian Hirsko-Karpatska with rams of Romney Marsh breed. Method of research - research conducted by groups of analogs, and, according to "Method of investigation of their breeding, genetics and biotechnology in animal husbandry." Results of research: created breeding herd of crossed sheep with meat and dairy production. Established that the combination of genotypes of maternal Ukrainian Hirsko-Karpatska breed and genotype of the parent Romney Marsh breed can be effective. Coefficient of meat productivity in crossed young is 2,7; 80,8% of youngsters classified as III (B). Analysis of yield of clean wool (67,78 ± 0,77), clipped pure wool from sheep producers was 0.5 kg, which corresponds to the requirements of the elite class.
