Purpose. To study the effect of clonal rootstocks and other factors on growth and the formation of the crown at the annual seedling pear, to determine the dependence crown-creation from varietal characteristics of culture and use different preparations and methods to protect plantings of pears pear-leaf-beetles. Methods. Conducting research on methods: Kondratenko P.V., Bublik M.O. Results. Growing two-year seedlings of pear rootstocks in the IS2-10, VA-29, U, and quince Provanska significantly increase the yield of standard, crowned seedlings that makes 35,4-41,0 thousand pieces per 1 ha, and 5,4-9,6 thousand pieces that is larger in compare with the control rootstock quince MA. Use of selective preparations of new generation with neonikotinoids (Mospilan) and chitin synthesis inhibitors (Rimon), combined with agro-technical measures allow to increase the biological effectiveness of these preparations in compare with others (zolon) by 10-15%. Estimated cost effectiveness of growing two-year, crowned seedling pears on rootstocks in IS2-10 and VA29, quince U and quince provanska is 325.2 - 391.6 thousand hrn of. net income from 1 hectare, and reduce the cost of one seedling in 1,5 times in compare with the control quince MA.
