Cognitive disorders are more pronounced at late PD onset (after 60 years) and at akinetic-rigid form and less dependent, in comparison with motor disorders, on disease duration. Among main structural changes on MR imaging of parkinsonian patients there was convexital atrophy of cortex brain hemispheres and vessel type changes.
