Objective: improving psychological support of families that bring up children of early age with psychomotoric disorders by way of developing a methodology of estimating child-parent relationships. Theoretical and practical results: an upgraded nation was formulated as regards characterising child-parent relationships in families bringing up children with psychomotoric disorders. A diagnostic means (estimation method) was worked out, said means making it possible to standardize the estimation of child-parent relationships for developing certain programs of psychological support of families as regards building up harmonious relationships of parents with the child that has developmental problems. Novelty: there has been developed and substantiated employment of a set of characters for defining the quality of child-parent relationships, namely cause-and-effect relation, non-verbal interaction, affect-behavioral regulation, verbalization of one's own feelings, mentalization. Effectiveness: employment of said methodology can make it possible to optimize the process of diagnosing and facilitate early determination of deviations in child-parent relationships which will make it possible to provide timely psychological assistance to families that bring up children of early age with psychomotoric disturbances.
