Calculations of photon yield of the characteristic X-ray radiation for the quasi-monochromatic X-ray source based on the electrostatic proton accelerator are summarized with PWBA and ECPSSR theories and compared to that measured at the nuclear microprobe channel. Construction and assignment of the designed X-ray source with the ion excitation are described.
