A purpose of the work is to develop methods of generation of vortical structures with needed shape and scales and to estimate their influence on the hydrodynamic drag of bodies. Mathematical modeling and investigation of the process of transformation of the wave and vortical structures of different scales, as a method of control of the boundary layer with the aim to change the hydrodynamic characteristics of bodies. The research method is physical and numeral experiments for researching the flow structure. In the work there were analyzed experimentally and theoretically the laws of formation of wave and vortical disturbances in the boundary layer on a deformed surface. A model of interaction of turbulent boundary layer with local disturbances of various intensities has been developed. The algorithms of numeral experiment on the interaction of vortical structures in the three-dimensional formulation are developed. The results of the work can be applied for development of systems for the hydrodynamic losses reduction.
