Eight new ternary compounds were synthesized. There are six new structure types among them: Li12Cu16+xAl26-x, Li8Cu12+xAl6-x, Li12Cu13Al14, Li408Cu144Al783, Li18Cu16Al7 and Li12Cu14Al12. The phase transition from the cubic to the tetragonal structure was revealed for the LiAg compound. Structural changes in the Li278Ag40In114 electrode material during electrochemical lithium extraction were determined during in situ synchrotron diffraction investigations. The new Li2.26Mg0.74Si compound with own structure type was detected in the Li-Mg-Si ternary system. The homogeneity region of the Li12Mg3Si4 compound was also refined. Hydrogenization properties for some alloys of Li-Mg-Si system were investigated. Hydrogen absorption capacity for one of them reached 5.27 wt. % H. 2 Articles and abstracts of 6 contributions at scientific conferences have been published based on research results.
