The crystal structures of the compounds found in these systems, were obtained. The structure peculiarities and magnetic properties of R5-xNi12Sn24+x and R2Cu4-xSn5+x compounds were studied. The crystal structure of the LuNi5Sn compound was obtained by single crystal method. The substitution effect of Co atoms by Fe ones on magnetic behavior of the SmCo9Si4 compound was investigated. The substitutional solid solutions ZrNiSn1-xBix, Zr1-xCexNiSn, Hf1-хYxNiSn, HfNi1-хCuxSn and ZrNi1+xSn of MgAgAs structure type were synthesized. The crystal structures were refined, electrophysical and magnetic properties were investigated for Ti1-xDyxNiSn, Zr1-xYxNiSn, Zr1-xErxNiSn, Zr1-xLuxNiSn, Zr1-xTmxNiSn Ti1-xVxNiSn, HfNiSn1-xSbx solid solutions. The electronic structure calculation of the Ti1-xDyxNiSn, Zr1-xLuxNiSn, Zr1-xErxNiSn, Ti1-xVxNiSn and HfNiSn1-xSbx solid solutions was carried out. The analysis of the electrical conduction mechanisms at different temperatures, concentrations and type of impurities of the investigated substitutional solid solutions based on the MgAgAs structure type was performed. The conditions for approach of the thermoelectric power factor maximal values were established.
