It was the investigation of structure of graphite oxide, depending on the method and conditions of its production, as well as the degree of oxidation and chemical modification methods. The structural and chemical properties of graphite oxide, obtained by using different amounts of oxidizer is investigate. The resulting derivatives of graphite was investigated by NMR, IR spectroscopy, SEM, EDS. It was found that the functional structure of graphite oxide depends not only on the amount of oxidant, but also on the processing time by ultrasound. It is shown that in the process of sonochemical treatment the contents of hydroxide groups is growing at the expense of other oxygen-containing groups, which leads to the formation of covalent graphite oxide. The influence of ultrasound on the dispersed composition of graphite oxide in water investigated. Shown that after dispersing the particles of graphite oxide in the first stage of processing occurs on the secondary agglomeration of particles due to additional sonohimicheskoy functionalization of graphite oxide.
