The process of intelligent diagnosis of special-purpose computer systems based on components with programmable logic devices is the object of the research. The theoretical basis, models, and intelligent methods of fault-tolerant computer systems diagnosis are the subject of research. The research purpose is decision of actual scientific problem - increasing diagnosis process efficiency of the of fault-tolerant computer systems with programmable logic devices. The theory of computer systems diagnosis, the theory of artificial intelligence, methods of system analysis, the theory of knowledge bases, methods of reliability theory, the theory of decision support systems were used to solving the problem. The analysis of known methods and diagnosis means, estimation of the reliability characteristics of special-purpose computer systems with programmable logical devices (CSPLD) as objects of diagnostic process were conducted. Classes of information uncertainty, which are characteristic for modeling and diagnosis, have been elaborated. The models of distributed processing of CSPLD diagnosis knowledge and methods of diagnostic knowledge bases constructing have been worked out. The efficiency of use of intelligent components such as neural networks, agents technologies, production rules, fuzzy logic methods, assessment methods and decision support systems, for designing of CSPLD diagnostic systems have been studied. The theoretical basis of structural synthesis of CSPLD diagnostic systems has been conducted. Series of algorithms that illustrate the role and benefits of artificial intelligence components in the process of CSPLD diagnosis was developed. The methods for the efficiency estimation of CSPLD intelligent diagnostics systems have been worked out. The prototypes of structural components have been proposed and their testing technique was described. In the conclusions of the report the main research results is presented. The results of scientific research have been implemented in the educational process of System Programming department of Khmelnitsky National University. New models and methods are recommended for implementation in enterprises that develop technical diagnostic means of critical systems, which contain programmable logic devices.
