The aim of the work- to study character of biological development of young female athletes of the same passport age, specialising in athletic gymnastics and basketball, structure-functional state of bone tissue; to evaluate the state of nutrition of highly qualified sportswomen. We assume, that continuation of complex profound studying by experts of features of a female organism, specificity of their reactions to conditions of a physical and psychoemotional strain, physiological diets, mechanisms of adaptation to them in different sports specialisations will help to prevent a number of disturbances of health of female athletes that will promote growth of sports results. Summary: The investigation results evidencing for possible differences of the level of biologic maturing in sportswomen of the same passport age, that is reflected in physical and psychological adaptation of young sportswomen to training loads are presented in the work. It was established by results of ultrasonic densitometry that the index of structure-functional condition of the bone tissue of highly qualified women-gymnasts exceeds the average statistical indices of representatives of the Ukrainian population in correspondence to age and gender, that evidences for the highest strength of the bone tissue in sportswomen. The actual nutrition and condition of the food status of young sportswomen (teenagers) - members of the national team of Ukraine were determined. The additional medical examination by gynecologist, traumatologist with the necessary densitometry of the bone tissue twice a year was recommended for all sportswomen. Novelty: - training loads interrelation between the level of biologic maturing of young girls basket-ball players of 11-14 and their special labour capacity was characterized for the first time; - it was for the first time that the structure and function of the bone tissue of highly qualified sportswomen - members of the national team of Ukraine in athletic gymnastics - had been investigated; - the condition of nutrition of those sportswomen was also estimated for the first time.
