Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Weldability and sensitivity to brittle fracture of nickel alloys Hasteloy V-4 and Inconel 690 of the Cr-Ni-Mo and Cr-Ni-Fe alloying systems and their welded joints were investigated. It was shown that gaseous hydrogen has a substantial effect on ductile characteristics of metal and welded joints, especially as the hydrogen pressure increases. It was established that the hydrogen-induced embrittlement mechanism is realized by movement of the hydrogen atoms to boundaries or twins, owing to the probability of their transportation with moving dislocations in plastic deformation of metal. Blocking of movement of the hydrogen atoms by dislocations is probable due to extra alloying of metal with the nanostructured particles, e.g. of yttrium oxide, in an amount of 0.5-0.6 wt. %. In this case, strength of a welded joint in the hydrogen environment is 0.9 of that of the base metal Product Description popup.authors Савченко Віктор Степанович Червяков Микола Олегович popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
