Purpose of research - to form highly productive sorts, adapted to the conditions of South Steppe of Ukraine. Research methods - field and laboratory. For the period of 2006-2010 36 sorts have got public registration as those being worth for spreading on the territory of Ukraine. The patents for seleting improvement have been obtained; intervarietal and interspecific hybridizations have been conducted using 126 varieties and selected forms possessing commercial features; 256 hybrids have been selected for primary sort study. The hybrid fund makes up 14142 seedlings and stocks dating by the end of 2010. 1520 sort samples are under praimary sort study. For 26 sorts of sweet cherry and cherry elite forms polinator have been matched; sorts and selected forms having the highest profitability ( up to 280%) have been sorted out. 121 elite forms are being studied under competitive sort quality testing including 5 apple tree sorts, 4 pear tree , 63 sweet cherry, 26 cherry, 9 peach and 14 apricot out of which 4 forms since 2010.
