The aim: to study regularities of the changes of morphofunctional state of the pituitary-gonadal system of the female rats after the single irradiation of the head with the doses 2,0; 6,0 Gy and fractional irradiation with total doses 6,0; 10,0 and 20,0 Gy. Methods: radioimmunological, morphological,electron microscopy, biochemical, statistical. Тhe changes of morphofunctional state of the pituitary-gonadal system of female rats after the single irradiation of the head with the doses 2,0; 6,0 Gy and fractional irradiation with total doses 6,0; 10,0 and 20,0 Gy were found. The increase of concentration of TBA-active product MDA, the decrease of catalase and SOD-activity, the increase of FSG and progesteron concentration, the decrease of LG, estradiol, testosterone levels in serum blood were observed. These changes depended from doses, conditions of irradiation and from the time after irradiation. The disbalance between the concentration of the products of oxidation and antioxidation protection were noted after fractional irradiation of the head of animals in doses 10,0 and 20,0 Gy during the whole period of research. These changes evidence exhaustion of antioxidant system and decrease of regulatory posibilities in an organism. A destructive changes of gonadotropocites were found. In these conditions of female rats head irradiation the changes in ovaries occured as the result of damage of gormone producing structures which participate in the regulation of reproductive function.
