Aim - to study changes of spermatozoid fertilization potential which take place in normal according to WHO criteria human sperm under external ionizing irradiation in the wide dose range up to 500 Gy. Methods - radiobiological, biochemical, microscopic, radioimmunologic, spectrophotometric, flow cytometric and statistical. The reactions of spermatozoid fertilization potential components on external gamma-irradiation have been studied. The dose diapasons for prognostic markers of fertilization potential were established in which the expression of said markers was sufficient to ensure the realization of fertilization phenomenon. Hence sperm irradiation in the range 1-80 Gy allowed capacitation, hyperactivation, acrosome reaction, penetration, syngamy and embryogenesis sequential implementation. Meanwhile in the dose range 100-500 Gy spermatozoa retained merely the aptitude for capacitation and hyperactivation. The results received have shown the great probability for preserving the fertilization potential by gamma-irradiated spermatozoa in the dose range 1-80 Gy. Apart from this, such spermatozoa were highly apt to repair their molecular and subcellular radiation lesions. Product Description popup.authors Іскендерова О.О. Андрейченко К.С. Андрейченко С.В.
