Aim: To determine the dynamics of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality among clean-up workers, evacuees, residents of contaminated areas, with regard to radiation and non-radiation factors. Methods: Epidemiological, medical-and-statistical, modeling. Results. Based on the data of SRU, an increase of cardiovascular morbidity in cohorts of clean-up workers 1986-1987 and adult evacuees was revealed for post-accident period. Hypertension, vascular diseases (arteries, arterioles, capillaries, veins and lymphatic vessels), chronic ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular diseases are predominant in cardiovascular morbidity structure. Increase in cardiovascular mortality rates was noted among the Chernobyl clean-up workers 1986-1987 and adult evacuees. Chronic ischemic heart disease complicated by angina and acute myocardial infarction; cerebrovascular diseases complicated by stroke, cerebral infarction, hypertensive encephalopathy; diseases of arteries, arterioles and capillaries complicated by artery atherosclerosis, embolism and thrombosis; hypertension dominated in cardiovascular mortality structure. An increased risk for cardiovascular disease was found, age-related features of its development were identified among residents of contaminated areas. According to CER data, for those evacuated in childhood and adolescence in persons evacuated chronic heart diseases, hypertension and heart diseases contributed mostly to cardiovascular morbidity. CER data were used to investigate the features of cardiovascular morbidity in cohorts of male clean-up workers 1986-1987 and adult at the time of the accident female evacuees, over the period 1992-2008. Estimation and prediction models for cardiovascular morbidity in post-accident period were developed.
