The object of work: cells line L-929, growth kinetic, mitotic activity, apoptosis, the enzymes of energetic metabolism. The methods of research: cell culture method, cytologic, cytochemical, biophysical methods, the method of flow cytometry, statistic methods. Тhe study of effect of heavy metal ions (Pb+2, Cu+2, Ni+2 and Cr+2) in the concentration range from 10-8 to 10-4 (moll/liter) on growth kinetic, preventive and mitotic activity of cells in vitro enabled to establish not only cytotoxic effect on cell vitality, but also stimulating effect (especially Cr+2) in the low dose range. The determination of apoptosis in cell cultures, incubated with researched microelements showed, that apoptosis is inducted by all microelements, but in different concentrations. Ions of Cu induct apoptosis in whole concentration range, ions of Pb have influence only in 10-8 and 10-7 (moll/liter)concentration, ions of Cr only in 10-8 (moll/liter) concentration, and Ni - 10-6 (moll per liter) concentration. Received experimental data show, that mechanisms of cytotoxity of researched heavy metals are not always realized by mechanisms of programmed cell death. Cytochemical research showed, that heavy metal ions change the activity of mitohondrial energetic enzymes in whole researched concentration range. Ions of Cu and Ni have influence essentially the succinate- and glycerophosphate dehydrogenases, moreover, while increasing of concentrations of these ME it is observed the redistribution of enzymes activity (decrease of SD and increase of GD), that indicates the compensating nature of these changes. Using the indices of survival in mono layer cell line L929 it was calculated the average effective dose (AE50) for every ME, and the cytotoxity row was built, which is: Cr (1,9*10-4) < Cu (1,6*10-5) < Ni (1,7*10-8) < Pb (4,8*10-8) (moll per liter) and which shows high toxity of Ni and Pb.
