Established that the infrared radiation with wavelengthes 0.8 microns and 1.0 microns has the greatest penetrating ability (depth of penetration may reach 40-70 mm), while the infrared radiation with wavelengthes 1.6 microns and 2.0 microns is the smallest penetrating ability (depth of penetration does not exceed 0,5-1,0 mm). On the basis of research was developed the methodology of optimal exposure of experimental animals by nonmonochromatic radiation of infrared spectrum, which provides minimum stress on animals during the experiment.
