Aim: to create a high-yielding mid-season leafless variety of peas, resistant to lodging, seed shattering, drought-resistant, suitable for direct machine harvesting/ Method: complex intervarietal hybridization with a further multiple individual selection. Three leafless (tendril) varieties of peas are created and sent to the state variety test. In 2007 two pea varieties belonging to a semi-dwarf type - Oplot and Otaman, which were recognized to be perspective for 2010 as to the results of 2008-2009 year trials, were sent to the State service on right protection for plant varieties. In 2009 a semi-dwarf variety of peas Chekryginskyi was sent to trials. In 2010 the variety Metsenat has been tested. Over and above the plan in 2008 Magnat a pea variety of mid-high type was tested. New varieties possess a high level of potential productivity and adaptivity and meet all the requirements of the production. As the result of scientific work three patents for useful models are worked out: "Method on the estimation of resistance of pea specimens to Fusarium root rot's pathogenes": the patent №24019, "Method for selection of resistant forms of peas to Fusarium root rot's pathogenes": the patent №26979, "Method for increase of pea hybridization efficiency": the patent № 33483. The patents are recommended to use in investigation of immunological, phytopathological directions and practical breeding.
