During 2006-2010 year period 10 hybrids of different maturity groups have been enlisted in the Plant Variety Register of Ukraine, in the Russian Federation - 4 hybrids. 12364 selfed lines of maize have been developed and valuable specimens of the world and national selection as to a complex of economic traits - 1671 have been identified. In connection with seed production in the laboratory for the period 2006-2010 years 14,6 t of elite and super-elite seeds have been obtained and 313,9 parental forms of zoned and perspective hybrids. Industrial seed production for the first generation of the zoned hybrids' growing in 2010 has been allocated in 11 regions of Ukraine on the total area of 2203ha.
