For fulfilment of the task laboratory and field phytopathologic, entomologic, immunologic, breeding, statistic methods of investigations have been used. The resistance to 22 species of pathogenic organisms among the breeding, materials from the new entries of the Centree for plant genetic resources of Ukraine in the total number of 3184 specimens has been evaluated. 302 forms with a stable manifestation of high resistance, among these: 226 being sources with individual resistance to diseases and pests, 35 - with group resistance, 40 - with complex resistance have been found. The presence of donor abilities as to the traits of resistance has been established in 25 sources of winter bread wheat (8 genotypes - as to the resistance to brown smut; 11 - to septoria leaf disease, 6 - to brown rust), 3 genotypes of peas for the resistance to Fusarium disease. 8 trait collections from the gene pool of winter bread wheat, spring bread wheat, spring durum wheat, spring barley, peas, soybeans, kidney-beans, maise for the trait of resistanse to diseasis and intrastalk pests have been formed and resistered in NCPGRU and introduced into the breeding programs of the institute; the Catalogue of the original material of spiked cereal, grain-leguminous crops and sunflower for resistanse to major deseases and pests' breeding in the conditions of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine has been prepared and published; 4 educational-practical manuals as to the identification of morphological traits and traits of resistance to diases and pests of maise, sunflower and grain legumes (peas, soybeans, kidney-beans, chick-pea, lentil) are prepared and published.
