Aim of the study: the formation and management of the National banc of cereal, grain-leguminous, small-grain crops, maize and sunflower for the provision with initial materials from breeding new varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops and preservation of the gene pool for future generations. Methods of the study: introduction, estimation by field, laboratory and other methods: identification, long-term conservation, creation of the information system for the gene pool. During 2006-2010 years the gene pool with 34409 samples has been formed including cereals - 17669, grain-legumes - 9289, millet - 1400, maize - 5564, sunflower - 487 smps. 8875 samples have been introduced, among these: 5495 -cereals, 2260 - grain-legumes, 98 - millet and millet-fomis, 887 - maize, 135 - sunflower. As the outcome of complex study 32 collections of the gene pool have formed and registered: 8 basic collections, 1 core collection, 12 traits, 5 special, one working, 5 educational collections. The NCPGRU certificates for 38 samples of gene pool have been obtained. The examination of 258 samples of different agricultural crops sent to the registration in NCPGRU has been carried out. 156 research papers have been published including.
