The purpose of the resolution provided for a number of objectives: introduction of new samples and determine their values, quarantine inspection of plant material, complex studying of collections, formation and registration of basic, characteristics, genetic and special collections, conservation seed collections of station (active, doublet, etc.), preservation of the gene pool of perennial crops and those that are vegetatively propagated in the "Field Genebanks", cultivation of seed samples of the gene pool with a view to renewing the viability of long-term storage in the National Seed Vault and the medium-term storage in the Seed Vault of Ustymivka Experiment Station, certification of the gene pool, creating databases (passport, attribute, pedigrees, etc.), maintenance with samples of a gene pool of selection establishments and educational institutions, other consumers, scientific and advisory and information support of subjects scientific and economic activities of the Poltava area and Ukraine. Scientific novelty of the work is to create a basic, characteristics and special collections of cereals, legumes, groats, technical, fodder, vegetables, corn and potatoes, mobilization of new samples of a gene pool of plants, allocation among a genetic variety of sources and donors of selection and economic-valuable signs and maintenance with a valuable material and the information on it of selection programs of scientific research institute and curriculums of high schools and technical schools of Ukraine. Research conducted under the technique of the Yurjev Plant Production Institute NAAS, the Institute of Vegetable and Melon NAAS, Institute for Potato NAAS, Institute of Agriculture NAAS, the N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Industry, et al. As of 01.11.2010 the total number of a collection of experimental station makes 25882 samples of 109 agricultural crops and 467 botanical kinds, versions, garden forms, varieties and hybrids of State Dendrology Park "Ustymivka". Over the period 2006-2010 conducted introductions of 6872 samples; it is spent quarantine inspection 2967 it is exemplary 80 agricultural cultures; it is studied 6381 collection sample of 40 agricultural cultures; expert studying of 353 samples of a genofund is finished; conducted biochemical studies (determination of protein content in grain and green mass, starch grains and tubers, etc.) 4772 samples. As a result of studying of a collection material 1123 sources of signs economic and valuable to selection are allocated. To maintain the collection in the living condition updated similarity in 11208 samples; 4560 samples are transferred to long-term preservation in National Seed Vault. In 2 special Seed Vault (in Ustymivka Experimental Station) on medium-term storage in tight container (packages and glass containers) there are 24365 samples. Collection of trees and shrubs species arboretum (8465 trees and bushes 467 taxa) is stored in field plantings. Created and transferred to NCPGRU passport database for 25869 collection of samples; research institute, universities and other institutions for use in selection, educational and scientific programs 9650 samples are transferred. For the higher and average educational institutions 49 educational collections of 23 agricultural crops (about 1100 samples) are generated and directed; 10 catalogs of seeds grain, legumes, technical, groats, vegetables, forage crops, ornamental crops are created and are actively used. By results of researches 54 scientific articles, 49 theses of reports of conferences, 2 author's abstracts of dissertational works, the millet qualifier, two catalogs of the collection samples, two booklets are published. Formed and registered in NCPGRU 4 basic, 4 educational, 7 characteristics collections; received the certificate of registration 24 unique samples of gene pool of plants. Scientific of the Ustymivka Experimental Station are the authors listed in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine of the two varieties of poppy "Zhar" and "Koloryt", millet variety "Olitan". With their participation made varieties of sugar corn "Bilyavka", of winter soft wheat "Kalyta" and "Ustivitsa" (last - transferred to the state variety trials in the Russian Federation). With participation of the collection material given to selection establishments, 5 varieties and 164 lines of agricultural cultures are created. In hy-bridization 154 samples are used, at selections - 103, in mutagenesis - 28; for search of steady dyes - 24. At station it is organized and constantly operate stationary and field exhibitions of a genetic vegetative variety. 2 scientifically-practical conferences where questions on formation and functioning of National Bank of Genetic Resources of Plants were discussed, regional meeting concerning seed-growing and struggle against quarantine and malicious weeds are spent, 5 field seminars ("Days of a field"), 9 exit exhibitions of a genetic variety of plants, more than 650 group and individual excursions where with a genetic variety has familiarized about 6 thousand visitors are spent. Scientists took part in 20 international and republican conferences; 5 performances on regional radio are made, 9 lectures at courses of improvement of qualification of experts of agrarian and industrial complex are read. In 2006-2010 employees took part in 4 international (Russia, Ukraine, USA) and 3 republican expeditions on gathering of samples of a gene pool of plants in territory of the Russian Federation and Ukraine therefore national collections have been filled up 1718 valuable specimens. In carrying out scientific and technical cooperation programs conducted with more than 40 research and educational institutions of Ukraine and CIS countries. The result of active research station collaboration team with colleagues from the N. I. Vavilov All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Industry to the collection agencies NCPGRU in 5 years (at the expense of an exchange and joint forwarding gathering) attracted more than 2000 samples of legumes, grain, groats, fodder, vegetables and industrial crops. By the Svalbard Global Seed Vault (Norway) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA, Syria) through NCPGRU sent 300 samples of vetchling (Lathyrus sativus L.)
