Aim of the study: improvement increase of the efficiency of methods for analytical and heterotic breeding on the creation of a new, in essence, original material of sunflower and hybrids for a specialized purpose, with nigh productivity, disease and pest resistance, with the oils of mono- and un-saturated types. The novelty of the study is to improve methods of analytical and heterotic breeding for the development of sunflower with new types of oils. Practical results of the study: the working collection of inbred lines-donors of a high content of saturated and un-saturated oils has been formed: four hybrids of sunflower with a high level of grain yield, oil content, resistance to bio- and abiotic factors, highs content of stearic acid in the oil have been sent to state varietal testing.
