With the use of these primers we have studied expression profile of mentioned antimicrobial peptides in three stable human melanoma cells - MelZ (origin - moderately differentiated melanoma), Mel Mtp and Mel Is (origin - low differentiated melanoma). It has been shown that in all three cell lines in the absence of inducers expression of hBD-1,2,4 is not detected; Mel Mtp cells do not express CAMP gene, while Mel Is and Mel Z cells are characterized by the presence of CAMP mRNA; hBD-3 mRNA was detected in Mtp cells but not in Mel Is and Mel Z cell lines.
