The purpose of research: development of the classifier of means of provide TPI on a functionality and main characteristics. Method of study: search, selection and the analysis of information materials, including international standards of information security, brochures and technical specifications for means of TPI of common assignment of domestic and foreign production, information directories, and also information disposed in the network Internet. Theoretical and practical results: on the basis of the obtained information were made: systematization and generalization of main characteristics for each sort of means for TPI in a part of protection of the information with restricted access from outflow by technical channels and from unauthorized access to the information; analysis of metrology support of TPI; presented proposals about the revision of some normative documents, which do not entirely reflect the contemporary tasks and the requirement of the TPI; presented proposals on the expansion of the enumeration of requirements and technical characteristics of some means for TPI. Novelty: the development of the classifier of means for TPI is fulfilled in Ukraine for the first time. In open information sources there is no information on existence of such classifier in other countries. The multifold analysis of efficiency of protection of the information by the means of TPI is realized for the first time. The technical leak paths of the information are detected, which one partially or completely can not be locked with present means of TPI. Effectiveness of introduction. The results of the conducted investigations make it possible to estimate the state of the domestic and foreign markets of technical equipment for the protection of information and to determine priority trends in development of the material and technical bases of the TPI system in Ukraine. Sphere (region) of use. The classifier of the means for TPI guaranteeing is the base document for the development in Ukraine of the design of normative-lawful act - technical rules for the order of carrying out the procedure of estimation of correspondence of means of TPI support.
