The subject of this research is the anthropogenic changes of the diversity of natural and urban ecosystems of western Ukraine. The aim is the evaluation of trends in the changes of basic indicators of biodiversity, edafic diversity and biotopic diversity under the presure of human transformation. Besides standard botanical, zoological and pedological methods of research, GIS maping, mathematical modeling, and regulatory proccesing of natural conservation proposals have also been used. Strategies and adaptations of various groups of the biota under such cоnditions have been determined. In addition, methodology was developed for monitoring the biodiversity and structural-functional changes in specific categories of the human-transformed ecosystems. Strategy types and adaptations of different biogroups under human-transformed environmental conditions have been generalized. The research tasks were conducted to develop the methodology of monitoring biota. Methodology of monitoring structural and functional changes of the biota and its changes in the specific category of human-transformed ecosystems was also developed. The reasoning for the prognosis of treatment of alien species of plants was developed, as well as the implementation of the conservation of the ornithofauna of the basin of the Upper Dnister river and Podillya area. The nomenclature of soil ethalons and clasification of human-transformed soils was filed. Documents for the creation of the national nature park “ Prytysyanskyy” were drawn up. The education program of conservation of the White Stork was inculcated. Five exhibitions in eco-educational centers were created. The results of the research theme include improvement of administrative problems, and the definition of new criteria of reservation of the natural teritory which was provided by the “Program of organization of the National ecological network on the regional and local levels”. The economic efficiency of innovations is connected with the stability of the environment and ecological management which is based on established parameters and criteria. The goal of this research work is the integration of environmental conservation and nature along the western borders of the country to the European ecological network. In the future, methodology for the effective introduction of human-transformed ecosystems to ecological networks of regional and local levels will continue to develop.
