Methods - hematologic, cytogenetic, molecular cytogenetic, molecular genetic, immunogenetic, dermatoglyphic, culture and statistic. It was found, that for patients with chronic phase CML are characterized by bone marrow hyperplasia by myeloid proliferation and increased numbers of mature and immature granulocytes in peripheral blood with symptoms disgranulocytopoiesis. In the accelerated phase and blast crisis bone marrow fibrosis dominated by increasing of the reticulin fibers proportion. Additional clonal chromosomal abnormalities were significantly higher in patients with advanced phase disease. Molecular genetic study revealed three variants of the BCR/ABL transcript: b3a2 - 56%, b2a2 - 34%, the variant transcrypt - 3%, several transcripts coexpression - 7%. There was no evidence of any connection between the fact of coexpression and disease phase. Significant reduction in the IFN-gamma and TNF-alpha secretion by immunocompetent cells was identified in patients at the disease beginning. It was not revealed specific distribution of phenotypes of erythrocyte blood group ABO in the studied group of patients. The differences in the incidence of various types of finger patterns in CML patients and healthy individuals were defined. The high proliferative activity of hematopoietic and stromal precursor cells in the bone marrow of CML patients was shown. These were not differences in the level of proliferation of hematopoietic and stromal precursor cells in the bone marrow of CML patients who received prior treatment with hydroxyurea. Study of platelet functional activity in CML showed an increased response of these cells upon activation by ADP. Identified clinical, morphological, immunogenetic, cytogenetic, molecular genetic, dermatoglyphic characteristics defined spectrum of disorders that are specific to CML.
