The crystal structures of the solid solution of Al in the binary compound GdSi and ternary compounds TmFe1-хSi2, Tm2FeSi2, Eu3Pd1.35Si3.65, Dy5Pd2In and TbAg3In3 were refined from X-ray single-crystal diffraction data. The crystal structures of the phases PrNi8.6Si2.4, EuNi8.3Si4.7, EuNi7.6Si5.4, EuCu5, Eu0.93Cu4.79Si0.21, EuCu0.8Ge1.2, EuCu0.66Ge1.34, EuAgSi, EuAg0.66Si1.34, EuAg0.5Si1.5, EuAg1.85Si0.15, EuAg1.7Si0.3, EuAg1.55Si0.45, TbMn2, TbMn1.88In0.12, TbMn1.67In0.33, DyMn2, DyMn1.88In0.12, TbMn0.92In1.08, DyMn0.94In1.06, TbNi3Al9, HoNi3Al9, ErNi3Al9, TmNi3Al9, YbNi3Al9, LuNi3Al9 were established based on X-ray powder diffraction data. The solubility of In in the binary compounds TbMn2 and DyMn2 and Si in the binary compound EuAg2 was determined. In the systems {Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm}-Ag-Al-Ge at 873 K the formation of three continuous solid solutions (CeAg0.8Ge1.2-CeAl1.6-1.5Ge0.4-0.5, PrAg0.8Ge1.2-PrAl1.55-1.48Ge0.45-0.52 and NdAg0.7Ge1.3-NdAl1.63-1.50Ge0.37-0.50), two limited solid solutions (SmAg1.40-0.98Ge0.60-1.02 and SmAl1.22-0.95Ge0.78-1.05), and one quaternary compound (SmAg0.55-0.36Al0.43-0.80Ge1.02-0.84) was observed. The valence electron concentration defines the solid solutions. The values of valence electron concentration were calculated for different structure types. The magnetic properties of 21 compounds or solid solutions on their basis were measured, and it was established that they are paramagnetics of Curie-Weiss type.
