Most of them were transfer to collection garden (genetic material bank) to be further conserved and propagated under the controlled conditions. The inventory of sort diversity of old and forgotten apple-tree cultivars has been carried out as well as the tree plantations' condition has been evaluated. The materials to bilingual edition have been prepared. The names of most cultivars have been verified. In private and collective gardens, a lot of old sort apple-trees are in unsatisfactory condition, therefore they may be conserved only under the controlled conditions in collection garden. The gene pool of the apple-tree old cultivars has been established to be the source of the unique planting material that may be further used for breeding as well as for renewal of the sort cultivation.
