It was established that laser welding is acceptable for performance and improvement of quality of welded joints of mid-carbon alloyed steel of 3-10 mm thickness. The variants to improve the forming of welded joints were defined, the efficiency of use of different shielding gases and fluxes, thermal cycles of laser welding under different conditions of steels of 3 and 10mm thickness and laser processing of their welded joints with partial melting and without partial melting of metal were evaluated. Mechanical heterogeneity and plasticity of butt joints with metal hardened during welding was established. The possibility and efficiency of hybrid welding (by joining of arc from non-consumable electrode and laser beam of steel 30KhGSA OF 10 mm thickness was also established.
