At the same time, the existing models of such sources were unsuitable for use for welding in the vertical plane due to significant difficulties in implementing the sources of this type of welding modes with the modulation of the welding current. Therefore, the solution to the problem of modernization of energy-efficient power sources resonant type that are based on inductive-capacitive transducers, and their use in modulation mode welding current is a fundamentally new direction in the development of welding equipment. Thus, the study of welding-technological properties of such sources during surfacing of vertical joints is important. The purpose of this study was to - determine the feasibility and optimal welding of vertical joints, using inductive-capacitive welding power source with discrete-frequency and phase (DFP) regulation. During the experiments, were obtained optimum parameters of hydrogen content in weld metal (a method of glycerol samples), spraying (weighting method), the elasticity of the arc (a method of measuring the breaking length of the arc) at a certain ratio of the basic parameters of welding conditions with modulation. Due to the experiments results a new technique of welding vertical joints MMA welding have developed with welding power source is based on inductive-capacitive transducers with discrete-frequency and phase control of welding current. The results can be used in carrying out repair and construction works of ventilation in housing and industrial facilities.
