Methods –hybridological analysis, statistical. Results: out from 400 studied genotypes of a different origin the sources of high productivity, two-bean trait, early maturation, resistance to diseases have been selected. Transgressive hybrid combinations have been developed, inheritance of economic traits was studied and a valuable breeding material was obtained. Strains of root-nodulating bacteria with the most positive influence on chickpea productivity have been found. Introduction: one variety of chick pea - Odisei was transferred to the State Variety Trial.
