Methods - hybridological analysis, field, laboratory, statistical. Results: an evaluation of sorghum sterile lines and fertility maintainers by combinational ability, productivity and other characteristics; methods for breeding highly heterotic sorghum hybrids for different end products have been improved. Techniques for synthesis of highly producible varieties of soriz using the lines with early tillering have been developed. Donors of high productivity, drought and heat tolerance of sugar sorghum and soriz have been selected, varieties and hybrids have been developed. Introduction: varieties and hybrids of sorghum - Rapsodiya, Afonya F1, Kastrat, and varieties of soriz - Atlant, Tytan, Avangard, Fakel were transferred to the State Variety Trial.
