The purpose – to increase seed production efficiency of cereals by improvement of the production technology and seed quality control. Methods – field, laboratory, statistical. Results: advantages of different systems of a complex plant protection against pests, diseases, efficiency of their influence on yield and some elements of their structure, sowing qualities have been determined. The protection systems and preparations suggested by the Bayer, Syngenta, Cheminova companies for Ukraine in comparison with PBGI’s suggestions turned to be equally effective. The most effective was combined treatment by growth regulators with fungicide and insecticide (yield gained by 15-25 %, weight of 1000 seeds rose by 6-27 %).
