The aim of the work was to investigate the frequence, ways and localization of remote metastases, that gave the opportunity to separete patient's group for radical treatment of MAT; to find the main reasons of tumor's recurrences after potential radical surgery, that optimized the tactic for combine therapy of MAT. Methods of investigation: CT, MRI, ultrasound, intraoperative revision of retroperitoneal space. The important part of data was obtained from archive, that contained the materials of operated patients since 1967. Most frequent zones for metastases of MAT are the lymphatic nodes of paranephral, paraaortal and paracaval collectors. The metastases in lymphatic nodes of subhepatic, diaphragmal, bifurcational and other collectors were found quite rare. That is way, during lymphatic dissection the surgeon's actions must be directed in these locations - it's necessary to perform systematic prophylaxis lymphatic dissection of paranephral, paraaortal and paracaval collectors. The intervention on other lymphatic collectors must b done just in case of their macroscopic involvment. The ways of regional metastases are mostly lymphogenic and quite rare - implantative or yatrogenic. MAT had quite often remote metastases in lung, liver, spine cord and peritoneum and supraclavicular lymphnodes.In comparizon with adrenal cortex tumors the pheohromoblastomes reliable rare had metastases in liver, but often - in peritoneum. The seldom metastases were in kidney, pancreas, ovarium, spleen, mediastimun, small gastric curve, brain, sternum and heart.Fields of interest: еndocrinology, oncоlogy.
