Task: to substantiate scientifically a complex approach to the risk classes of industrial waste including toxic ones on the basis of the existing situation in the spere of the handling with industrial waste assessment, it conforms to modern knowqledge about ecological-and-hygienic safety, improves a classification order and limits an impact of hazardous substances on environment and human health. Methods hygienic analisis, mathematical, statistical. Results: it was established that general risk of the industrial waste was formed for technogenic, anthropogenic impact on the environmental objects and human health and stipulated not only toxicity but a presense of radionuclides and biological agents. Their joint impact can present an epidemiological danger and change the environmental parameters. It was determined that at the determination of risk classa complex assessment of waste shoud be carried out by three blocks taking into account toxicological, radiological and biological components.
